Good afternoon all,

Hope you all are ready for the World cup starting next week, and I’m sure it will be the talking point for at least 3 weeks for some, and 6 weeks for others :-)

Last Saturday saw the first league game for the 1’s against a very good Guernsey side. There were enough positives shown by us, that we felt we are in a good position for the next few games. Guernsey will definitely do well this year, and considering we had them on the ropes a couple of times and at least deserved a bonus point from the game, gives us lots of confidence going into tomorrow. Saying that, we need to make sure we improve on some of those errors we made.

Before I talk about tomorrow, massive congratulations to Scott, Dobbo and the 2’s Team from last week, who put 50 points on Chipstead 1's. Great to see the hard work paying off and the improvement from last year. Keep it up chaps.

The 1’s are over at Tunbridge Wells tomorrow, and 3rd time lucky it will be. We have played them in absolutely horrific conditions over the last 2 seasons and I’m not the only one who would like to go over there and set the record straight. The forecast is looking great, and we're expecting some great rugby.

Our 2’s will be travelling to Farnham for a friendly tomorrow, in a change from the previously communicated Teddington match.

So the Games tomorrow are:

  • 1’s vs Tunbridge Wells away – 3pm KO
  • 2’s vs Farnham away – 3pm KO

Few changes in our team from last week and and its with great pleasure to say that:

  • Fred Dalton will make his first game since scoring a hattrick last week and his 1st team cameo in National 2 as an 18-year-old against Launceston 5 years ago
  • JP Alberts returning after 1 phenomenal season in South Africa getting his Team “Naka Bulls” to the final at Loftus in Pretoria
  • Rory Mitchell will embrace the wing after we suffered 2 wingers getting concussed in two consecutive weeks
  • Jasper King is back in the second row after a week abroad, with Joel Grant now recovered from the cut on his eye sustained at Camberley
  • Barney Davies has is also been shifted to the 12 shirt to go and do some damage in that channel before he will be off to Leeds Beckett next week
  • Andrew Frost is also getting his legs and lungs working in the 2's tomorrow on his route back after a 3 year break.

So the teams for tomorrow are:
